Business Communication Level 2

Course Description :
This is a 50 hour course with 25 X 2 hour lessons. This course is for intermediate students of English who need English for practical normal day-to-day communication in business. The course focuses on developing more advance English language ability in a business context, using common business-related situations.

Course Objectives : At the end of the course the students will be able to understand and communicate in business English in order to:

• Meet people
• Make requests
• Explain requirements
• Give company profiles
• Give company history
• Report on a business trip
• Make offers
• Ask for opinions
• Justify decisions
• Give advice
• Compare figures
• Talk about future possibilities
• Discuss problems, solutions, and negotiations

Course Requirements :
Course grade is determined by a final examination and the instructor’s evaluation of the student’s progress and class participation. In order the receive an end of course certificate of course completion each student must:

• Pass the final exam
• Have attendance of 70% or higher

Student performance will be assessed and graded as follows:

Materials : The course materials will be selected by Ajarn Mike’s International Study Centre. Supplementary materials will be used to reinforce specific areas of study.
